I have been in the tech industry since 2015, but there was never one single moment when I decided exactly where this journey would take me. It happened step by step, one course, one website, one client, and one new skill at a time.

My starting point was a computer coaching center in Chittagong called Chittagong IT. My instructor was Parves Chowdhury. I first took courses on MS Office, then learned about Blogger, and after that, WordPress. That was my first introduction to WordPress.

I was genuinely impressed by what WordPress could do. From there, I started researching, practicing, and trying to understand it more deeply.

2017: Going Deeper With WordPress

In 2017, I found information on Facebook about a web development course from ITBari. I believe the course was called Web Guru, and the instructor was Abdul Kader.

That course taught me WordPress theme development, customization, website design with Elementor, basic HTML, CSS and PHP, SEO, and freelancing. Honestly, I learned a lot from it. After completing the course, I started exploring the tech world much more seriously.

At that time, access to hosting and WordPress resources was more limited for me, so much of my work stayed on localhost. I kept practicing there, building things, breaking things, and learning how WordPress actually worked.

2019: My First Hosting and a Real Domain

In 2019, I bought my first hosting plan from a local Bangladeshi hosting company and hosted my first WordPress website.

That was a real wow moment for me. Until then, most of my work had been local. Suddenly, my website was running under a professional domain, and I could share it with anyone.

During that period, I built many different types of projects for practice, including blog sites, ecommerce websites, portfolios, and business websites. If you remember the old WordPress Classic Editor, that period still feels nostalgic to me.

Around the same time, I also completed another course through LEDP, a government training program.

2020: The Project That Gave Me Confidence

I did not work on a real client project until 2020. Then the COVID lockdown came. Like everyone else, I was spending much more time at home. I was also free from tuition, classes, and many of my regular activities, so I started giving more time to tech work.

One of my friends came to me and asked if I could build a website where he could sell masks, sanitizer, safety gloves, safety glasses, aprons, and other products that were in demand during COVID.

I built the website with WooCommerce. That became my first real live client project.

Honestly, finishing that project gave me a lot of confidence. I had spent years learning and practicing, but this was different. Now I knew I could build something that a real business could actually use.

From Facebook Clients to Fiverr

After that project, I opened a Facebook page and started posting my work and services. About a month later, I promoted my services on Facebook using one of my friend’s cards.

The result surprised me. I got three projects from the local Bangladeshi market, and all three were ecommerce projects. That Facebook page still brings me clients and makes me money today, although I have completely rebranded it since then.

At the same time, I was also giving more attention to Fiverr. I got my first Fiverr client for a $30 project. The amount was small, but for me it was the beginning of my professional freelancing journey.

Since then, I have worked on 400+ local and international projects. WordPress has been the biggest part of that work, but over the years I have also worked on Shopify and Webflow projects depending on what a client needed. Along the way, I reached Level 2 Seller on Fiverr and built long-term relationships with clients I still work with today.

2023: Learning UI/UX Changed How I Look at Design

In 2023, one of my clients suggested that I take a UI/UX design course. I followed that advice and completed a course at Creative IT Institute.

The course helped me understand more about the psychology behind design and user experience. It also opened the door for me to explore customer experience, user behavior, product analysis, and competitor analysis more deeply. That knowledge later became very useful in the way I think about websites, products, content, and users.

2024: Joining Bit Apps

In 2024, I joined my first physical office, Bit Apps. Before that, I had already worked in two remote jobs, one with a company based in Canada and another based in the UK.

I joined Bit Apps as an SEO Content Writer. There, I started working closely with products such as Bit Flows, Bit Form, Bit Integrations, Bit Social, Bit Assist, Bit CRM, PaymentForm.io, and other upcoming projects.

A lot of my previous WordPress, SEO, client, design, and content experience helped me in this role. Over time, my responsibilities grew, and today I am the Content Team Lead at Bit Apps.

Going Deeper Into SEO, Content, and Digital Marketing

Joining Bit Apps also changed where I put most of my learning time. Since then, I have spent roughly two years going much deeper into content, SEO, and content marketing, from search intent and content funnels to understanding how content supports product visibility and growth.

I did not want to stop at writing content or surface-level SEO. I spent time learning technical SEO, topical authority, brand visibility, content strategy, Generative Engine Optimization (GEO), and the relationship between search, content, product positioning, and growth. Working around SaaS products gave me a practical place to connect those ideas with real pages, competitors, products, and marketing decisions.

During this period, I also completed two courses from OSTAD: Mastering GEO: Generative Engine Optimization and “Full Stack Digital Marketing.” Both helped me understand digital marketing more deeply. Practical experience teaches you how to do the work, but learning the core principles behind marketing, search, audiences, and channels helps you understand why certain approaches work and why others do not. I value that foundation a lot.

A large part of my learning has never come from one course or one platform. Over the years, I have learned from people in the industry, YouTube tutorials, Udemy, SoloLearn, Semrush Academy, HubSpot Academy, Coursera, LinkedIn Learning, and SEO practitioners whose work I follow. I still read blogs, study industry updates, and follow the people and sites I trust. In this field, I do not think keeping your knowledge current is optional, search, content, AI discovery, platforms, and user behavior change too quickly.

Where I Am Now

Today, I am working with Bit Apps, continuing my Fiverr work, and still working with some of my long-term clients. Much of my work now sits at the intersection of WordPress, SEO, content, SaaS, digital marketing, and understanding how people discover and evaluate products online.

Alongside my regular work, I am also building Tenfic.com, a digital agency, and PluginSuggest.com, a platform I am building to help people find the right WordPress plugins for their projects.

When I look back, every stage of the journey connects with the next one. Chittagong IT introduced me to WordPress. ITBari helped me go deeper. My first hosting made my work feel real. My first WooCommerce project gave me confidence. Fiverr connected me with international clients. UI/UX changed how I think about users and design. And Bit Apps pushed me to understand content, SEO, SaaS, and digital marketing at a much deeper level.

I still approach learning much the same way I did in 2015: understand the principle, test it in real work, compare the result, and update what I know. The tools have changed a lot since my first WordPress site, but that process has not.
